Ah Autumn, the leaves are turning, the weather is cold and there maybe a chance of snow! Ha! Who am I kidding? It’s Florida; we’ll be lucky to have it cooled down around here. Sometimes I find it hard to get into the Thanksgiving Season with the surrounding looking so summer like all the time. Luckily, there are events to help us Floridians get in the mood. Stuff like The Seventh Annual Native Rhythms Festival in Wickham Park!
This 3 day festival is just what one needs to kick start the season. From November 12th – 15th you can experience live musical performance from award winning musicans like Arvel Bird, Randy Grange and Billy Whitefox, Do family friendly workshops like flute playing, beading and history of instrument, shop around from 40+ Vendors and experience presentations from a some great non-profit and historical preservation groups all for Native American Heritage month.
Run by the Brilliant minds at Native Heritage Gather Inc. and the Indian River Flute Circle, you can expect only the best of native American world culture, music and Art & Crafts.
The best part is it Free! Free Admission and Free workshops with discounted accommodations if you don’t want to go to the many diffrent restaurant surrounding the park.
