This year’s ICE theme Peanuts is sure to be a huge hit. This year’s theme is something that brings back great memories with all of us. Who doesn’t love Snoopy, Woodstock and we can’t forget Charlie Brown. It promises to be a great time for the whole family. From snow tubing, to a stroll through ICE, Ice sculptures, and displays Oh My! you will rediscover the true meaning of Christmas along the way.
The stunning atrium will welcome guests to experience A Christmas Wish, a six-minute light show with narration, classic holiday music and visual effects create a spirited seasonal celebration. This FREE show is centered around the new 60-foot LED-lit Christmas tree.
Back for a second year. Guests can delight themselves with Cirque Dreams Unwrapped. Cirque Dreams Founder Neil Goldberg brings needs a huge Thank you for this beautiful fun audience-interactive show created exclusively for Gaylord Palms, this year’s production a 25-minute experience fun for all ages, with artists from around the globe its sure to be a crowd favorite.
Guests will be amazed as they are captivated by 2 million pounds of ice, hand-sculpted, colored, and lit to create stunning scenes. It is a walk through experience, like nothing I have ever done, it sure gives us Floridians a much different experience being in 9-degrees and freezing our noses off. It wouldn’t be complete without Alpine Rush indoor snow tubing. Guests will be able to zoom down an eight-lane tubing hill that’s fun for all ages. Best part it’s covered in real snow!!
Adults 21 and older may also upgrade their Ice experience to chill out at On The Blocks – the ice bar inside ICE, with three select beverage samplings: Goose Island Beer, The Jolly Mint, and lastly Merry Margarita this unique VIP experience was a very fun add-on.
Another memory-making activity is Build-A-Bear Workshop where guests can make their own furry friend. Choose from animals and characters, including some popular movies. They can be personalized with cozy winter clothing. Guests can buy a light-up polar bear and a furry-friend-sized parka, designed exclusively for Gaylord Hotels.
If you love the chilly temperature, ICE is a thoroughly enjoyable experience, offering scene after scene of carefully crafted ice blocks this year recreating many classic scenes from “Peanuts”. Here are a few of my favorite pictures I took along the way:
The Gaylord Palms Hotel is located 10-15 minutes from Walt Disney World, makes it quite convenient to find for anyone visiting the Mouse house. Tickets for admission to the ICE! attractions are $28.99 in advance or $29.99 at the door per person. Upon arrival guests that choose to park at Gaylord Palms, there is a $20 parking fee.
