In 2023, Disney Cruise Line pluses the Very Merrytime Cruises across the fleet with a magnificent tree lighting ceremony, a brand-new holiday deck party, and spruced-up outfits for our Disney friends (get ready for those family photos).
A Very Merrytime Cruise on Disney Cruise Line is a joyous affair with a ginormous Christmas tree filling the atrium, plenty of lights and festive greenery, the sweet scent of a decorated gingerbread house, and, of course, plenty of characters in their holiday finest (yes, Disney Cruise Line knows how to celebrate Christmas).
The holiday spirit kicks off on night one, as families gather around the three-deck-tall Christmas tree in the ship’s atrium where Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Goofy invite guests to join in with a sing-along to their favorite holiday songs followed by a countdown to the lighting of the tree. The tree-lighting celebration concludes with a special appearance by none other than Santa Claus who joins in as a special guest aboard the cruise.
Another new Very Merrytime Cruise addition for 2023 is Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party. This brand-new deck party celebrates the season with Mickey and Minnie inviting everyone on board to their holiday party. It wouldn’t be a proper celebration without friends and family joining in to a mix of classic and original holiday music for this special time of year.
In addition to the new tree lighting ceremony and deck party, guests will find new holiday attire for the Disney characters as well as, themed Very Merrytime activities, carolers singing songs celebrating a multitude of seasonal holidays, festive food and beverage items, decks & halls decked with boughs of holly and more, and special commemorative merchandise for sale in the ship’s shops and boutiques.
Disney Cruise Line’s Very Merrytime Cruises launch in November 2023 from Florida and California on the Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, and Disney Magic. Florida holiday cruises depart from Fort Lauderdale (Disney Dream) and Port Canaveral (Disney Wish & Disney Fantasy). The Disney Magic from San Diego for holiday sailings before wrapping up the season in Galveston, Texas with Very Merrytime cruises to the western Caribbean.
